本单元围绕"Complains"开展教学活动,学习"Would you mind+gerund?"的疑问句以及will\could引导的表示请求的一般疑问句.教师在向学生介绍如何对别人提出有礼貌的请求时,引导学生使用句型"Would you mind moving your bike?"及其回答"Sorry,I'll do it right away?",鼓励学生使用情态动词would\will\could来恰当地表示请求或礼貌地阻止周围的人作出令人恼怒和生气的事情,培养学生一定的社会公德意识,学习文明礼貌方面的礼仪.
本单元的核心语言项目是"Make requests"以及"Apologize",主要话题是"Complain about annoying things".学习如何写便条,如何表达自己的请求以及对邻居的不满等.课程设置有易到难,有助于提高学生的认知能力.
在本单元的教学中,对于基本句型"Would you mind +gerund?"以及它的回答,学生掌握的还是比较熟练的.通过本单元的学习,学生会用英语表达自己的不满,能有礼貌地对他人提出请求,提高了学生用英语交际的能力,对他们日后的生活也有很大的帮助.就是在课堂的教学实施中,并不是全体学生都能参加讨论和对话.有个别后进生还需要特别关注.
